The Plot Thickens....

This is the best Halloween for me.  I didn't have to make dinner OR carve the pumpkin!  On the downside, I'm sick.  Small price to pay for such luxuries.

This has been an eventful week.  Some mystery person (I still don't know who) sent me via email, the obituaries for the parents of the Robert Pierson I've been researching as my possible grandfather.   I didn't think it would be particularly helpful in determining if this is the right Robert, but boy was I wrong.   Elmer's eyes look like my brother's and Hulda's nose, mouth and chin looks like my brother's.  I made a composite photo for comparison and, Whoa! it looks like Carl.

I took this as a sign to pursue this further.  I contacted Robert Pierson's daughter Nancy and spilled the beans about who I am and why I am asking questions about her father.  I also mentioned that I am researching the possibility of having some DNA testing done to prove or disprove this theory.
I am excited that I might add an aunt, uncle and cousins to my family, as well as a great-aunt.

I do have some unanswered questions about what I was told about my grandfather vs this Robert Pierson.
#1 He is the same age as my grandmother.  I was told he was older by three or four years.

#2 He never lived in Streator, IL as I was told.

#3 No one name Robert Pierson ever worked at the Rosenbaugh Dairy in Peoria as reported. (This remains a question regardless of whether or not this is the right Robert Pierson.)

#4 If he lived in Edelstein and Dunlap, where would he have met my grandmother who lived on the West side of Peoria?  Possible answer:  Grandma could have gone to the Hub Ballroom and met him there.  I just spoke with my mom and she said she went there a few times herself and that it was well known in Peoria.

#5  Why was I told he died in WWII if he didnt?  Possible answer: A) My grandmother could have lied to put the issue at rest.  B) My grandmother was lied to when she went to look for him.

Either my great aunt was misinformed or she had a lousy memory could be the answer to many of these questions.

I would LOVE your thoughts on any of this.  I cannot come up with answers to all of these questions myself.
